Cooling masterbatch

Cooling masterbatch, also known as molecular weight distribution regulating masterbatch, is a functional plastic additive specially designed for the processing of plastic products.

Product Introduction

Cooling masterbatch, also known as molecular weight distribution regulating masterbatch, is a functional plastic additive specifically designed for the processing of plastic products. Its main components usually include high-quality polypropylene, high-molecular-weight resin, peroxide, nucleating agent, and initiator, etc. After strict proportioning, it is uniformly mixed by a high-speed mixer and manufactured by melt extrusion.

Cooling masterbatch plays an important role in the processing of plastic products. It can significantly reduce the viscosity of the product resin, especially in polypropylene (PP) spinning processing. Due to the high molecular weight of polypropylene, the spinning temperature is often as high as 300℃ or more, which can easily lead to the decomposition of additives and pigments. After adding cooling masterbatch, the spinning temperature can be effectively reduced by 10~50℃, thereby improving the spinning process and ensuring product quality. In addition, cooling masterbatch can also prevent the destruction of product resin properties during high-temperature processing and maintain other resin properties.

In addition to being used in spinning processing, cooling masterbatch is also widely used in PP modification production, especially in the production of high-flow PP products, such as large thin-walled storage bins in supermarkets. Adding cooling masterbatch can improve product molding process conditions, reduce power consumption, improve production efficiency, and simultaneously improve the integrity of product molding, compensating for the reduction in strength and toughness caused by high temperatures.

In general, cooling masterbatch, with its unique properties, is playing an increasingly important role in the plastic processing industry.
